Hampton Brook completes New 48,000 sq ft HQ warehousing scheme - Milton Keynes

17th May 2019

Regional developer Hampton Brook has announced the practical completion of its newest HQ warehousing scheme in Milton Keynes known as Velocity.

Construction to deliver the new 48,000 sq ft scheme in Knowlhill - at the corner of Kelvin Drive and Roebuck Way - began last September.

Velocity comprises two high specification units, the largest - totalling 25,400 sq ft - having been pre-let to the IT supply and distribution company broadbandbuyer.com.  This will provide the company with a new UK Headquarters to house its expanding operations; ultimately replacing the company’s existing premises at Linford Wood and at the same time creating efficiencies in its working practices that will allow the company to expand its product distribution.

Ian Jackson, Director of Hampton Brook, said: “We pride ourselves on our ability to develop high quality HQ and industrial logistics facilities, working with occupiers to deliver the right bespoke product on time to meet the business needs and expansion plan timescales.  By having a pro-active attitude and flexibility during the construction phase, we have also been able to facilitate broadbandbuyer’s specific fitting out requirements.

Oliver Essame, Managing Director of broadbandbuyer.com said: “It is an exciting time for our business, in terms of the growth we have experienced, as well as our impending move to new HQ premises.  This will enable us to scale-up our business; protecting the future and growth of the company within Milton Keynes. Furthermore, it will create an excellent work environment for our people, as well as creating benefits for our customers too.”

Ian Jackson concluded: “The completion of the Velocity development follows hot on the heels of the completion of a 30,000 sq ft warehouse headquarters facility at Kingston for Reiser, an American owned and leading supplier of food processing and packaging equipment at the end of last year.  We look forward to delivering further development and investment opportunities across the Milton Keynes region in 2019.”

Hampton Brook’s decision to speculatively develop Phase 2 of the scheme, comprising some 22,700 sq ft of high energy efficient accommodation, demonstrates its confidence in the Milton Keynes market - with the occupational market continuing to perform well.

Through its appointed marketing agents, Kirby Diamond and Louch Shacklock, Hampton Brook is able to confirm that discussions are progressing with a number of interested parties that will undoubtedly secure further inward investment into the region.  The unit features two level access loading doors, an eight metre eaves and a self-contained secure yard area, all on 1.43 acres and is available now.
